Mass Effect Luff

I also have a fitspo blog: runmepretty

This is where I blog about stuff I love, which right now consists of primarily Mass Effect.

Umm... some stuff about me, though. My name is Heather. I am 22 years old and a Navy wife. I work at PetSmart as a Pet Trainer. Yes, I get paid to play with very cute puppies and dogs. :3

I have three pets. A dog, named Auron, and two cats named Tifa and Yuna. You may see pictures of them on here frequently.

ASK AWAY

I am so frustrated right now. Someone tried to start an argument, and he sure as hell has one.

One friend posted something about cops and added that cop jokes were not appreciated nor asked for. I added to the conversation stating that my FATHER was finally about to retire from the force after thirty years, and that I hated cop jokes as well. Another friend responded as well stating that he has nothing but respect for someone who volunteers to protect others.

Then this other guy posts and decides that among everything that was said, he wanted to argue that they don’t volunteer if they’re getting paid.

Can somebody say HOT BUTTON???!!

Wanna know why? Not only is my father a (soon-to-be) retired cop, but my husband is also part of the Navy. And I’m sorry, but a paycheck alone is not enough for someone to get up and ready for work every morning, knowing that they could very well end up on the business end of a gun.

The only times I know that something bad has happened while my father was working all these years. The bad days are the days I get a call. And all he says is that he wanted to make sure that me and my sister knew that he loved us and that we’re the best daughters he could ever ask for. He never says what happened, he just always calls and tells me that.

So don’t tell me you don’t volunteer to do those jobs. Whether you’re compensated or not.

And then the guy dares to say something about it being a dictionary definition. Just to spite him, I looked up the definition on the Merriam-Webster site. No mention of monetary compensation there, so of course I post the definition and tell him to shut his mouth about definitions when he doesn’t even know it.

Guy’s response? I’ve never used an online dictionary. I still have a hardback.

You know what? I don’t care buddy. You’re just pissed because you can’t come back from that. So FUCK YOU guy I’ve never met and hope I never meet.

While you’re arguing over something you have no idea about, I get to spend the next couple of months hoping something doesn’t happen in the line of duty before my dad actually retires.

OMGOSH IT’S MIRANDA BAILEY FROM GREY’S ANATOMY!

And I feel like that would be her response.
